Testimonials for Sunrise Montessori School
My story is probably very different from yours. My son had been promoted into kindergarten before he was truly ready. After communicating extensively with his public school kindergarten teacher (an amazing woman) it was clear he was overwhelmed and wasn't on track to move to the first grade.
I scrambled to figure out what to do. A "reset" was needed, and it was decided pre-school would serve him well, and he'd get experiences laying an educational foundation that many kids, maybe most in our community, take for granted.
I found Sunrise Montessori, had a tour, learned about the Montessori philosophy. I literally had that inner voice saying, "Shut up and take my money already!" They really blew my mind. Everything they talked about just made sense, and I got very excited; we had a solution!
They have been amazing with my son, with me, with our sometimes chaotic schedule. He completely blossomed with them, and I just love everything about the program, the staff, the facility and grounds. You pull into that gravel driveway from Sunrise and it's like you're crossing a threshold into an oasis of tranquility and purpose. It's wonderful!
I can't say enough positive things about Sunrise Montessori. If you're on the fence, just book a tour and talk with Anne or Lindsay, I think you'll come away feeling just as I did.

Thank you Lindsey, Miriam, Marian, Mary Rose, Carla, Anne, and anyone I'm forgetting.
I'm sitting here thinking about that parent - teacher conference after a couple of weeks of Reed attending SMS. At that point it was not at all clear that it was going to work out with you guys.
I remember being so afraid you were just going to write him off and ask us to pull him out. Instead what Krysta and I heard were teachers who were committed to doing whatever needed to be done individually for him. Some of the solutions initially caused quite a bit more work for all of the teachers. All of the solutions required a tremendous amount of patience. I remember leaving that meeting thinking that there was something different and incredible about this school.
Since then Reed has blossomed under your care and now is going on to kindergarten confident, kind, smart, empathetic and with a firm concept that he is worthwhile. I cannot thank you all enough.
Can't wait to get Ellis in the cottage under the care and direction of Mary Rose. :)

Hi Anne, Marian, and Lindsay,
I know that you have all taught a lot of children over the years, and you probably have forgotten most of them. I want to share a little story with you to show you that they don't forget you. Please know how greatly you impact the students that walk through the doors of your wonderful little school. My son, Noah Bromberg, is now in second grade. He attended Sunrise Montessori from 2006 through 2008. He recently won the Husky of the month award at Heritage Oak Elementary for having an outstanding attitude. When his principal and teacher called him up at the ceremony to receive the certificate, his teacher said that Noah has the best attitude of any student that she has ever met. He is willing to help others at any time, and he always has a smile on his face. When the principal said that his parents have done an excellent job, we were very proud. His response (over the microphone) was, "They've done okay, but I learned how to have a good attitude from my teachers at Montessori." Kim and I both teared up when hearing this.
Thank you again for your dedication to excellence and superior education. Next time you are paying your bills and your meager salaries cause you to come up financially deficient, you can be satisfied that you are providing an experience to children and their families that is absolutely invaluable.
With all our love and gratitude,
Aaron and Kim Bromberg
I took Spud to the park today and while he was playing he started telling another child about bones and their names. The child's parent asked, "where did you learn that?" Spud said, "I learned everything I know at Sunrise Montessori School. That was a quality education!"
I thought you'd like to know that you are getting great reviews.
It is almost 5 years ago since we started with your school. We can't thank you and your teachers enough for what you gave our kids. Besides great academics Dominik and Cassy learned many lessons for life... To respect each other... To resolve conflicts... And the interest in nature, culture... and many more. We will always remember your school in a very positive way. We will recommend your school very highly. Your school has given our kids the first steps into the school world.

We appreciate you all and know we are so fortunate to have found this school. I also thank you for inviting me to participate as a cooking helper. I enjoyed every moment of it.
